While I was in Hong Kong I obtained from the Director of Marine, in confidence, a schedule of the maximum and average wage scales offered by the Licensed Crew Department in Hong Kong as at 1 January 1974. You may find this schedule of interest in connection with the proposals for a separate Hong Kong register.
Since the information was given tome in confidence, the schedule should not be made available to anyone outside our official circle.
