Para. 108 Accident scrvice organisation
(i)
This paragraph deals with the accident service organisation.
(ii) Comments call for immediate implementation of the proposals for accident centres and the establishment of rescue squads to supplement the ambulance service, these being equipped with direct VHF radio telephones. Better emergency care in different places is also considered necessary.
(iii) The availability of an adequate, well-trained ambulance service is stressed, where design/cquipment are continually under review. More comfortable ambulances are suggested and the use of helicopters as an ambulance is advocated.
Para. 109-111 - District Nursing
(i) Those paragraphs recommend that consideration be given to the question as to whether agencies experiment should be expanded.
(ii) The establishment of this service is strongly favoured and the statement that a district nurse treats very many less patients and that an associated house help service is necessary are not agreed. No further survey is regarded as necessary and requests are made for the service to be set up immediately.
Para. 112 115 - Drug Addiction

(i) These paragraphs deal with drug addiction and reference is made to a pilot scheme in which drug addicts are treated with methadone, it being considered that unless this scheme is unsuccessful the Medical & Health Department will have an active role in dealing with the treatment aspects of drug addicts.
(ii) The need to recognise drug addiction as a major health problem is stressed and some suggestions are made concerning the methadone pilot scheme.

(i) These paragraphs deal with family planning.
(ii) A comment is made that this service should be taken over expeditiously and with a large budget.
Para. 118 The Health Services
(i) This paragraph deals with the health service. The MDAC recommends that the functioning of those services be kept under constant review.
(ii) Comments call for much greater emphasis on preventive medical care with attention being drawn to public
