Law enforcement has just completed a good week here. Rumbelow's men seized another ton of opium and 100 lbs of morphine base on Tuesday. This had come up from Thailand by trawler in the usual way, The same day the Preventive Service seized a ton of unmanifested acetic anhydride on a ship in the harbour. This had come directly from Japan. There have been some very large opium seizures in northern Thailand also during the past day or two.
