Following the arrest of LAM and MA, a second raid was carried out at Ma's residence. A search of the premises located two bags containing 2.508 kilogrammes of cannabis. LAM and MA were jointly charged with two counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Traffick- ing. LAM was convicted on both counts and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment, suspended for 2 years. No evidence was offered against Ma.

37. On 10th July, 1973, after extensive surveillance, officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a flat in Hung Hom, Kowloon. The premises were searched and a large quantity of No. 3 heroin was found. Four women, YUNG So-chun (5040/4790/3791), 57 years, WONG Yee-tai (7806/1942/1229), 55 years, NG Yuet-mui (0702/2588/2734), 25 years, and CHEUNG Hing (1728/5281), 59 years, found in the premises were arrested. The total weight of drugs seized was 9.5429 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 3.3879 kilogrammes of salts of esters of morphine. All four arrested persons were jointly charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. YUNG, WONG and NG were convicted and sentenced to 6 years, 7 years and 7 years imprisonment respectively. No evidence was offered against CHEUNG.

YUNG So-chun has been on record with the Narcotics Bureau since 1968 as a principle in a drug syndicate.

38. On 20th November, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau mounted surveillance upon a Chinese female, TAM Chai-cheung (6223/7871/7022), 42 years, known to be involved in narcotics trafficking.
