23. On 27th July, 1973, a Malaysian male, TAN Khi-liong (7115/6386/7893), 72 years, arrived at Kai Tak Airport from Kota Kinabalu. He was searched by officers of the Preventive Service and 27.4 grammes of prepared opium was found in his baggage. TAN was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs. He was convicted and fined HK$800.00.

24. On 10th August, 1973, a Japanese male, Takujiro FURUHASHI, 20 years, arrived at Kai Tak Airport from Bangkok. He was searched by officers of the Preventive Service and 2.7 grammes of cannabis were found in his travelling bag. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs. He was convicted and fined HK$ 200.00.

25. On 28th October, 1973, an Indian female, Mukhia-Bimla KUMARI, 29 years, arrived at Kai Tak Airport from Bombay. She was searched by officers of the Preventive Service and inside a false bottom in her suitcase, 4.996 kilogrammes of cannabis resin were found. She was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. She was convicted and sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.

26. On 16th November, 1973, a Czechoslovakian male, Lubomir FRYDRYSEK, 23 years, arrived at Kai Tak Airport from Sydney, where he had been refused permission to land by the Australian Government. He was also refused permission to land by the Hong Kong Government but before his departure for Dehli, his luggage was searched by officers of the Preventive Service and 295 grammes of cannabis resin was found inside a false bottom in his suitcase. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. He was convicted and sen- tenced to 4 months imprisonment.
