PETITION BY MR LAW KAM-SANG
1. I have the honour to refer to your despatch of 10 April
which enclosed a petition dated 30 July 1973 from Mr Law Ke-2011),
Manager of the Tai Shan Quarry Company, and also to your further
despatch dated 23 May.

I have given careful and sympathetic consideration to
Mr Law's case; and I have decided, in accordance with your advice, that I am unable to agree to the petitioner's reque it
for continued operation or compensation.
3. I should be grateful if you would inform ir Law accordingly, adding that I regret that it was not possible to give him
definitive reply more quickly.
