ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS
HONG KONG
21st January
1973.
Dear Simar
1474
As promised in the. Governor's Telegram about
the Judiciary, I am letting you have the detailed information about the state of business in the Courts prepared by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
As you will, I think, appreciate, this is intended for your information. You will see one or two items which might look odd if published without a detailed explanation. There is in fact a detailed explanation, but we do not think it necessary to burden you with it.
I am sure you will agree that the note discloses
It should be sufficient
a very satisfactory state of affairs. for you to say, if necessary, that the state of business in the Hong Kong Courts compares very favourably with that in the Courts of other countries.
