VISIT OF CHIEF JUSTICE, HONG KONG

Mr Rushford has tried to get in touch with Sir Duncan Watson about a possible meeting, but Sir Duncan is away today.
2. Mr Stuart, Head of Hong Kong & Indian Ocean Department, says that his department is much involved with the current visit of the Governor and suggests that any meeting between Sir Duncan Watson, the Chief Justice, Mr Stuart and Mr Rushford should be deferred until, say, 3 January. Mr Rushford proposes to make arrangements accordingly.

The Chief Justice would like to pay a brief courtesy call on you next week and Mr Rushford hopes to arrange this after his return to the Office on Tuesday, 17 December.
