We would be grateful for some early comments now that the Election is past, especially on the question of returning illegal immigrants to the Khmer Republic. There is one rather pressing case involving a family who entered Hong Kong illegally from Khmer, and repeatedly defied immigration rules, even resorting to corrupt practices to try and obtain the right to stay in Hong Kong. In view of Hamilton's letter 40/4 of 15 October to Alan Donald, the immigration authorities are naturally anxious to take action against them.
