Dear Andrew,

Jack Cater has passed on your note of 13th May forwarding Mr. Tilton's letter, which he wrote following Godber's arrest.

I have written to Mr. Tilton thanking him for his earlier material and for his more recent advice. The old chap is certainly full of ideas and has maintained greater interest and backing than some who are much younger and more closely involved.

As you know I expect to be in London on our recruitment drive about the middle or end of July. I trust that I will have an opportunity of having a chat with you.

In the meantime I would like to thank you for all the help you are giving us in connection with this campaign. I realise that we are asking a lot in the way of assistance from the Home Office and Scotland Yard.

The Anning visit incidentally was a success and he has, as you know, undertaken to help me in my recruitment efforts, provided of course his Commissioner agrees.

Yours

A. C. Stuart, Esq.,
