Extradition
Further to our telephone conversation of today, we enclose the original manuscripts prepared by Godber, as requested.
We also enclose copies of the documents marked "C, D and F" referred to in Godber's Affidavit for a Writ of Habeas Corpus. In addition, we enclose a copy of the report prepared by Godber's accountant. This has been included with exhibit "E".
The exhibit marked "A" and referred to in Godber's Affidavit is the first part of the Crown's evidence, to which has been added the depositions of Messrs. Mutch, Hobley, Parkinson-Bate and Cheng. These depositions are not numbered and appear at the end of this exhibit.
Exhibit B1 is the ordnances and B2, the remaining financial documents of the Crown's record. The defence have split up the record for the convenience of the Divisional Court.
The documents under exhibit "D" are the depositions of the defence; copies of which you have. In addition to these documents is added the deposition of Mr. Russell White.
You have copies of the remaining exhibits.
Although you have requested the return of the Postings and other files, we feel that we ought to retain them so that they can be produced to the Divisional Court, if any point is taken by Defence Counsel.
We are arranging with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for this letter to be sent in the diplomatic bag.
