We noticed in the Daily Telegraph the other day a report that the Independent Commission Against Corruption had seized the passport of
the Director of Lands and Surveys, just before his departure on leave pending retirement. We should be interested to know if this report is correct. If so, we should be glad if you could let us know, in confidence of course, a bit more about the case.

We noticed, incidentally, that J P Potter, who recently resigned his post after some 20 years service, and after his application to retire at very short notice had been refused, was the Government Land Agent. We wondered whether there was any
connection?
