We were advised by Defence Counsel that they would like to see
confidential police file. We discussed the matter with Mr. Penlington, who was in Court, and he suggested that confirmation should be obtained from Hong Kong Legal Department as to whether it can be disclosed or not.
Could you please cable Hong Kong and ascertain whether this file can be produced or whether we should still rely on it being a privileged document.
