Thank you for your letter of 16 April, addressed to the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary. I am afraid it has only just reached me, and must have crossed my letter of 18 April.
I do not think there is much to add to what I said in my earlier letter. We continue to do all we can to support the work of the Independent Commission Against Corruption. You will doubt- less have seen in the press that ex-Chief Superintendent Peter Godber of the Royal Hong Kong Police has now been arrested in this country under the Fugitive Offenders Act. This followed the production of new evidence in Hong Kong.
