Government of Hong Kong re: Godber Extradition

On the 24th May we attended with Mr. Michael Neligan of Counsel before the Judge in Chambers on the fugitive's Application to vary the terms of bail.

The Application was dismissed and the terms remained in accordance with those fixed by the learned Magistrate.

Counsel raised certain points upon which he would like clarification.

The copy Record at present with us contains certain legible copies and although we propose to serve a copy upon the fugitive's solicitors, we should be obliged if further sets could be supplied.

In the meantime reference was made to the Deposition of Mr. Neil Malone. In paragraph 3 line 5 the last word is "our". This does not make sense. It is possible that this is a typing error but could this please be checked with the Attorney General's office.

In paragraph 11 of the Deposition of reference is made to him being shown 2 lists by Godber. Could these lists again be shown to

At the same time

ask him if these were lists that Godber showed to him.

We understand that Mr. Neligan has spoken to Mr. Penlington on the telephone before he left for Hong Kong. He was advised of the position regarding the deposit book of
