When I was in Hong Kong in August I was inundated by questions on the Death Penalty. As you probably know, I am an abolitionist myself but, because of the strong pressure and because I wanted to discuss some very real issues, I promised I would personally let you know of feeling in the colony on this subject. Hence the reason for this letter.
All the best.
Yours sincerely,
L
LEWIS CARTER-JONES.
