a prisoner in Hong Kong Prison humbly showeth That on the 2nd October, 1973, 監獄囚犯 謹陳

the appeal of your humble Petitioner was dismissed and he is now

a condemned prisoner waiting to be executed for the offence of murder.

That your humble Petitioner is seeking for mercy from Your Excellency the Governor to save him from this punishment.

That your humble Petitioner is aged 26 years, he is the eldest son in the family of five children. Your humble Petitioner's family have always been in poor financial situation and in conséquence thereof your humble Petitioner has resided in substandard overcrowded residence in lower class areas. Due to the size of your Petitioner's family, and the poor financial circumstances in that they are fully occupied in their works, his parents did not have the time to

Your humble Petitioner provide him with parental guidance and care. received up to Primary 6 education, and that he was obliged to come out to work since at the age of 15. Your humble Petitioner has always maintained regular employment and contributed the larger part of his income to the support of his family. Through the introduction of a friend, your humble Petitioner started to work as a driver for Wan Mui Mui in March, 1972. Your Petitioner has no knowledge that Wan Mui Mui was involved in prostitution business at the beginning of his employment under her. Besides being a driver, your humble Petitioner did not participate in the running of the business of prostitution of Wan Mui Mui nor did he received any profits from the said business.

On the evening in question, your humble Petitioner was asked by Your Petitioner says Wan Mui Mui to make two trips to Kowloon. that he did not know the purpose of the trips and was only ordered

Your to drive some employees of Wan Mui Mui over to Kowloon. humble Petitioner had not had the intention to inflict any harm to the deceased and did not know that the others intended to harm the deceased. Your Petitioner only assaulted the deceased once in order to get him into the car fast as your Petitioner could not park the car near to Hollywood Theatre for long and was then in fear of interference from the police of his doing so.

Your Petitioner swears that he had no intention to kill the deceased or to inflict grievous, injury to the deceased; the deceased had done no wrong to your Petitioner. That this was the only occasion that your humble. Petitioner has done any wrong to the deceased.
