found two persons already tied up. CHENG was told by HO to
wait at the door of the flat, which he did. HO and some of the
others then entered the flat and after a short while CHENG
heard noises from inside and went in. He said a fight was
taking place and that one person rushed at him with a stool.
CHENG said that he was frightened and that he struck at that
person with an iron ruler. CHENG admitted pursuing a person into the telephone room in the flat and pushing the door down.
He then repeated his evidence about a person having a stool.
After awhile, he said, HO So-kuen called on everyone to leave,
which he did.

There was ample evidence to support a verdict of
guilty of murder.

26th March 1974 to sentences of imprisonment for
