The cause of death was shock and bleeding due to stab wounds.

The whole incident lasted several minutes. The

intruders did not find the woman HO Shuet-fong as she was at the

time being kept at another address.

I explained to the jury the meanings of murder and

manslaughter, and also the doctrine of common intent. The

jury by their verdicts must have considered that the prisoner

at the time of the incident shared a common intention with the

other intruders to cause whatever male occupants they found on

the premises either death or at least grievous bodily harm.

In my humble opinion there appears to be no special

circumstances in this case, I therefore respectfully suggest

that the law should take its normal course.
