DEATH PENALTY IN HONG KONG

You asked for certain figures about capital punishment in Hong Kong and other dependent territories in connection with Mr Blaker's meeting this afternoon to discuss the death penalty in Hong Kong. These are now attached as follows
(1) A note of the number of convictions for murder in Hong Kong from 1966 to 1975 which shows also the reasons for commutation.
(11) A list of Executions in dependent territories for the period 1905 to 1970, submitted to the Secretary of State in May 1975.
