This matter is being dealt with by UND and we are not required to take any action. UND are considering the ratification by the UK of a UN Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural rights. As it would also be applied to non-metropolitan territories, UND asked dependent territories if they wished to make any reservations.
3. UND were somewhat impressed by the reply from Hong Kong, which they considered comprehensive and well set out. It does in fact contain a lot of useful, up-to- date information and copies of the saving telegram are being entered on our files.
