HONG KONG: CLOSURE OF THE "CHINA MAIL"
1.
Lord Goronwy-Roberts may wish to see the attached letter from the General Secretary of the National Union of Journalists in reply to his letter of 27 September.
2. I also attach for the information of Mr Male, who has
not seen them, my earlier submission on this subject together with the two letters which the NUJ General Secretary addressed
to the Secretary of State.
3. I have passed the Union's thanks on to Hong Kong as example of the value of such action in terms of Hong Kong/UK
relations.
