I am finding a little difficulty in keeping up to date with official statements made in the House of Commons or elsewhere by Ministers in regard to the Defence Review and as it seems likely that the pace will quicken I wonder if I could ask you to be sure that we get, preferably by telegram, the text of any statements.

The fact that I have not yet been able to lay my hands on the exact wording of a statement by the Lord President of the Council in the House of Commons on 31st October (for which of course we have got no Hansard) and which may well be washing around here somewhere is the most recent example which I have in mind. Could I therefore ask for your help rather than rely on the usual bag or Information Services or Hansard distribution
