1. As you know the FCO are preparing Consultation telegrams for dispatch to the relevant posts within the next few days. In some places our diplomatic representative would probably wish to discuss with the local British Commander/Defence Representative the approach to be made to the Government concerned. І ргороне
that the FCO should be invited to include in the relevant telegrams instructions that the Local Senior Commander/ defence representative should be shown a copy for his personal information.
2.
In view of their discussions on Wednesday I believe the Chiefs
of Staff should be aware this action is in hand and I enclose a draft BECMIN so informing them.
