The Mediterranean. In Cyprus at present Britain
contributes an infantry battalion, an armoured reconnaissance
regiment and logistic support to the United Nations force.
The garrison in the Sovereign Base Areas is two infantry
battalions and an armoured car squadron together with
appropriate logistic support units. This may require
revision 7. An infantry battalion forms part of the
Gibraltar garrison.

The Caribbean. The small garrison at Belize (formerly
British Honduras) provides a force for the external defence
of the territory and, when required, assistance to the civil
authorities in the maintenance of law and order. The
garrison comprises a small headquarters, an infantry battalion
less one company group, and ancillary equipment and personnel.

in Army equipment which were introduced in 1973 and 1974 or are
planned to take place in 1975 are listed below.
Armoured Forces

Deliveries have been completed of the Scorpion tracked
reconnaissance vehicle, to armoured reconnaissance units in BAOR
and Hong Kong. Mounting a 76mm gun, the Scorpion replaces the
wheeled Saladin Armoured car in these units. The Scimitar tracked
