Mr. G. G. OAKES was appointed as Secretary of the Board. On 23rd May, 1973, we suffered a grievous loss with the death of Bishop Francis Hsu whose wise counsel was missed thereafter. At a number of meet- ings, Dr. Rayson HUANG, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong was represented by Prof. N. K. HENDERSON. During the final meetings of the Board, Bishop BAKER was represented by the Rev. G. L. SPEAK. Dr. Y. K. CHING, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Polytechnic, deputized for its Director throughout the meetings of the Board, and Dr. S. L. KONG similarly deputized for the Vice-Chancellor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The first meeting of the Board was convened on 8th February, 1973. Thereafter, we met at regular intervals until the 14th meeting which was convened on 23rd August, 1973 for the purpose of approving this Report.
