Inner Mongolian Teachers Training College. She states that she was
employed at Peking Teachers Training College 1955-56 and the Inner
Mongolian Teachers Training College 1958-1973, instructing in musical
subjects. She returned to Hong Kong in 1973.
6. Thus, the facts as stated in the application show:
ing:
(i) Miss FUNG voluntarily entered China from Hong Kong in
1951, at the age of eighteen years;
(ii) Having entered China, she attended two universities there
during the period 1951-1955;

(iii) That she undertook teacher-training in Inner Mongolia,

followed by a period of musical training in Shanghai,
1956-1959;
(iv) She was subsequently employed in training teachers, at the
Peking Teachers Training College 1955-1956 and at the

Inner Mongolian Teachers Training College 1958-1973;
She returned to Hong Kong in 1973, after a period of twenty-
two years' residence in China and in Inner Mongolia.

7. I think it evident, that political indoctrination is thorough and
effective at all levels of the educational structure in China, and especially
so at university level and in the field of teacher-training.
I have there-
fore regarded it as necessary to give due weight to the fact that Miss
FUNG not only underwent university education and teacher-training within
the communist educational structure, but was also herself employed as a
trainer of teachers within that structure.
