the aggregation arrangements provided for in Establishment Regulation 1385 do not apply to officers who take passages under the school passage scheme;

as an alternative to children visiting their parents in Hong Kong, the cheapest available economy class passage may be granted to an officer's wife to enable her to visit his children during the tour provided that more than one child is eligible for school passage; a child or the officer's wife, as the case- may be, is not eligible for the reimbursement of travel expenses under .R. 1420 or for any baggage allowance under E.R. 1460 when taking a school passage or a passage taken in lieu of a school passage.

12. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCES

(i)

An officer who travels by air on the new leave terms is eligible under Hong Kong Establishment 1460, for a baggage allowance for himself and for those members of his family who travel by air in respect of each journey to transport household and personal effects. This allowance is not intended to cover such items as animals and motor vehicles. He may be reimbursed up to a maximum of the following amounts on production of receipted bills to the Accountant General on arrival in Hong Kong:-

Officers with a basic salary

Officers, wife and/or child- ren of the age of 12 or over on date of departure per head

Children of the age of 3 or over but less than 12 on date of de- parture, per head

of 74,360 and above

Children of the age of 1 or over but less than 3 on date of departure, per head

Children under the age of 1 on date of departure, per head
