In order to complete this Form it is necessary for an officer to initially have Form 0.E.A.3A completed in respect of each child by the school(s) in question, unless receipts are being submitted in accordance with paragraph 20 of E.C.No. 14/73.

Where a child has attended more than one school during the period covered by this claim, the name and address of each school should be entered in the blocks provided, with the relevant torms and fees being shown at items (1) and (2) respectively.

3. Fees should be entered in the currency in which they were payable. Where fees were payable in currencies other than sterling, officers should

not complete items 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9. These will be completed Departmertally after action has been taken in accordance with paragraph 21 of E.C. 14/73.

Fees qualifying for Boarding School Allowances (item 2) are defined as follows:-

A Fee is the basic boarding and tuition fee as advertised in a school's prospectus.

The amount of any grant entered at item 4 should be shown in the currency in which it was granted. A scholarship won on a competitive basis will not be considered as a grant and need not be entered at item 4.

Where total assistance (item 5) is not in excess of fees payable (item 2), a dash should be inserted against item 6.

7. Changes in payment instructions (item 11(b)) should be notified to the reasury by way of memorandum through Heads of Departments.
