'I would like to thank you for your recent letter

Of the 19th July. I am very grateful for such a

detailed reply to my letter which I sent to the Prime

Minister.

I was very pleased to hear that the Hong Kong Government are doing all that they can to stop Hie cruel treatment which animals are receiving in China. However, I was most distressed to learn that the Eating of dogs is a traditional Southern Chinese Custom and cannot understand how the Chinese people can eat ouch food without feeling sorry for these poor innocent animals. However, lam very pleased to note that something is being done to stop this action and would like thank

you Once again with much appreciation for putting my mind at rest concerning this matter.

Thankyou,

Miss Gleen kettle
