IMPORTATION OF WILD LIFE FROM CHINA INTO HONG KONG
1. As you know Mr Royle has queried the line we were proposing
to take in response to the large number of letters from Members
of Parliament and the public which we have received on the above
subject.
2. I am submitting separately on the issues involved but in
the meantime I suggest that you might send interim replies to
Mr Royle's constituent, Miss S Knowles, and to the nine MPs
concerned. I attach draft letters accordingly.
