1. I am enclosing some letters from members of the public dealing with the importation of animals from China to Hong Kong. I am afraid that they have become mixed up with the voluminous correspondence we have on the Endangered Species Bill and the Convention an International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, which I am only now finding time to deal with.
2. I understand that you are handling the queries on trade between Hong Kong and China and I must apologise for not sending them too more quickly. I would appreciate it if you would send me copies of your replies, as I have other correspondence dealing with the Convention, the two Private Members Bills and this issue of trade between China and Hong Kong. It would be of great help to me therefore if you could provide me with the answer to the latter of these issues.
Yours faithfully
E. A. Bristow
