Effect on Exclusion

6.

The Annex sets out certain Hong Kong domestic export items to Norway in 1971, 1972 and 1973, eligible for preferential treatment if Hong Kong were included. in the Scheme. Export value of these items increased by 15.3% in 1972 and a further 46.8% in 1973. Major items where Hong Kong exports had increased were toys and transistor radios. On the other hand, our exports to Norway of teakood and wigs had declined. The export value of these items represent 15.8%, 16.9% and 19.03 of Hong Kong total domestic exports to Norway in the years covered. Apparently Hong Kong made overall good advancements on the list of interested items despite of tariff disadvantage.
