7 We are keen to see the early implementation of the US Scheme. When it comes into effect, it will be easier for other donors, including the EEC to make improvements in their schemes. We sympathise with the points made about the limited coverage of the scheme and its reatrictive elements particularly the 25m limit. As the Hong Kong Government knows we are in favour of a liberal approach in GSP.
We take appropriate opportunities to make the US government aware of our views.
