We discussed on the telephone this morning UKREP Brussels telegram No2908 recommending that Sir M Palliser should make a statement on Hong Kong during this week's meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives. ve agreed that we could go along with this suggestion and I undertook to draft a telegram. I attach a draft and I should be grateful if you and other recipients could let me know by 1200 hours on Tuesday, 25 June whether you have any comments on it.
