Accordingly, the limit of tender of the new coins we have recommended

Under Section 3 of the Bank Notes Issue Ordinance, Cap. 65, bank notes of any denomination are legal tender in Hong Kong to any amount. It does not appear that this Ordinance will require amendment if a $5 coin replaces the $5 note.
