ANNEX A TO XCR(74)123
To
Amend the Bankruptcy Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title and
commencement.
(Cap. 57.)
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Bankruptcy
(Amendment) Ordinance 1974 and shall come into operation
on the day appointed by the Governor by notice in the
Gazette for the purposes of section 20C(1) of the
Employment Ordinance.
Amendment of
2.
section 38. (Cap. 6.)
Section 38 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (1) by inserting 'after
paragraph (c) the following new paragraph
(Cap. 57.)
"(ca)
any severance payment payable to
an employee under the Employment
Ordinance, not exceeding in respect
of each employee six thousand
dollars; ";
(b) in subsection (3) by deleting "and (c)" and
substituting the following
", (c) and (ca)"; and
