5. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after Addition of section 23 the following new section-
"Record of convic- tions.
23A. (1) The Commissioner of Police shall on payment of the prescribed fee issue to the holder of a driving licence a record of all convictions of offences under this Ordinance recorded in respect of that person.
(2) Neither the Government nor any public officer shall be subject to any action, liability, claim or demand whatsoever arising out of compliance with, or any failure to comply in any respect with, sub- section (1).".
6. Section 26 of the principal Ordinance is repealed.
