LABOUR TRIBUNAL (AMENDMENT) BILL 1974
الا
시
1.
This is a Bill to establish the Labour Tribunal
on a permanent basis. Since it commenced operation on 1 March 1973, on an experimental basis, the Tribunal has proved to be a success. The experimental period is due to expire on 31 December 1975. Paragraph 3 of the memorandum gives the number of cases dealt with so far and states that because of the volume of work a second presiding officer was appointed earlier this year.
2.
Last November we received a despatch from Mr F K Li, the Secretary for Social Services, reporting on the progress of the Labour Tribunal, together with reports from the presiding officer and the Labour Department. I put up a Draft Submission and a draft letter thanking Mr Li for his despatch but these were inadvertently put away by the Registry. I think we could submit this latest Bill establishing the Tribunal on a permanent
basis and, if you agree, I will up date the earlier submission. There does not seem to be much point in writing to M Li now.
