Honourable Members will be asked to advise:
subject to further efforts being made to pursuade the British Government to re-formulate the accidental breach provisions mentioned in para- graph 8(e) above, whether the British Govern- ment should be informed that Hong Kong expects to meet the conditions of the offer, and
whether publicity should be handled on the lines of paragraph 14 above.
(The Accountant General (Mr D.W.A. BLYE) and the Principal Assistant Economic Secretary (Mr J.I. MUTCH) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
