I submit with this letter the sterling guarantee advice as on the last working day of April 174.

You know from our recent exchange of telex messages that an adjustment has had to be made to the non-sterling reserve Figure reported in attach-
In view ment (b) to my letter dated 6th May 1974.
I am
of the importance of this return in establishing the MSH for the last working day of March 1974, also submitting with this letter an amended advice (};).

I should be most grateful if you would, as soon as possible, confirm:
(a)

that for the purpose of establishing the MSH that the lower of the reserve figures' described in (b) and (c) of paragraph 3 of the Declaration made at London on 18th March 1974 is £79,210,009; 70% of £386,014,000;
and
that in order to arrive at the balan 5 eligible for guarantee in accordance with paragraph 4 (1)(a) of the Declaration the maximum that must be deducted from R will not exceed £38,414,000; 10% oi £384,142,000 (see my telex number 1 dated 30th May 1974).
