PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION: OFFICIAL VISIT TO HONG KONG
1.
Mr James Sillars MP (Labour, South Ayrshire) has put down a question for written answer on 31 October to ask the
Secretary of State if he has any plans to make an official visit to Hong Kong.
2.
Mr Sillars asked a similar question, for oral answer, in March. There is now a possibility that the Secretary of State may accompany The Queen when She visits Hong Kong from 4-7 May next year, but this cannot be confirmed until nearer the time. Private Office have agreed that the reply to Mr Sillars's new Question should again state that the Secretary of State has no present plans to visit Hong Kong, and I submit a draft accordingly.
