You may like to see the enclosed copy of a minute from the Secretary of State for Trade commenting on the reports submitted by Feter Treston following his visit to Japan. You will see that fir Shore has it in mind to visit Japan during the Easter Recess 1975, but there are a number of bridges to be crossed before that.

May I at the same time take this chance of thanking you for all your kindness and hospitality while I was in Tokyo. It was a most enjoyable and educative week roughly equal proportions.
