Mr Coleshill (M&TD) has pointed out to me that it would be more appropriate for your Department to prepare brief no. 19 (Effect of United Kingdom Immigration Act on Hong Kong), since the question at issue is the citizenship status of people from Hong Kong holding ritish passports. I should therefore be grateful if you could let me have an appropriate brief.
