There is a gap of more than 2 months between the briefing and the actual visit, and inevitably the group will not remember 11 that was said to them. Indeed 2 of them, Sillars and Carter, were not able to be present at all. We shall give them written briefing nearer the time. But you may think it worth reinforcing this after their arrival, so that they are fully prepared for the sort of questions which may be put to them, especially by Members of UMELCO or the press.
5. Some of them will have an interest in matters outside the defence field. Sillars, as you know, is particularly concerned with labour affairs. The group were invited to let Teddy Kidd know of their interests in advance so that he could ask you to make suitabin arrangements beforehand.
