I wonder if it might be convenient to you
if I were to make my long belated visit from about
25 May for 7 to 10 days. I can hardly get away
before this because of a meeting of Senior Commonwealth
Officials in the week beginning 20 May.

I would certainly like to have had the
opportunity of exposure to your problems on the ground
before the talks that you will be having in the Office
in June; and you in turn might possibly find it
helpful to have a preliminary run with me over the
matters which you would wish to cover in those talks
with the new Ministers.
