The Organizing Committee - Seventh Asian Games -Tehran 1974

As you are no doubt aware, the Seventh Asian "ames will be
held in Tehran from September 1 16 1974. The following
countries are members of the Asian Games Federation, the
governing body of the Asian Games, at the moment: Afghan-
istan, Burma, Republic of China, Hong Kong, India, Indon-
esia, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, Republic of Khmer,
Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sing- apore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Republic of Vietnam and 1ran.
Paragraph 48 (1) of the Constitution and Rules of the Asian
Games Federation states that "The Official Programme of the
Asian Games must include Athletics and Swimming and an Art
Exhibition (architecture, painting, sculpture and music)".
Consequently, this letter is the first step taken by the Organizing Committee of the Seventh Asian Games to organize
the Art Exhibition.

Your Excellency is kindly requested to ask the Cultural Attache of your Embassy (or another suitable representative) to contact the Cultural Department of the Organizing Committee
at Kakhe Varzesh as soon as possible in order to come to more
definate conclusions regarding the Art Exhibit
