I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your despatch
no. CR 7/1136/71 II of 21 May 1974 and to inform you that
the power of disallowance will not be exercised in respect
of the provisional appointment of Mr I F C Macpherson JP
to be an official Member of the Legislative Council, with
effect from 13 May 1974, during the absence from the
Colony of Mr D Akers-Jones.
