I today mot Mr Codd of GEC who told me that the consortium had the same impression. He also said that, on the figures already discussed, the British electrical and mechanical bid was lower than any of the others, and that it was the civil engincering bid that put the British price wove their competitor. I asked if this meant they wore contemplating trying to ditch Costuins. He denied this strongly, but the fact that he
mentioned the point at all, seemed to indicate some discorà wi ulin the consortium.

I know that Sir Murray Machchose tried to make conbact with Mr Walker in the UK at the beginning of this month, Dub I believe he did not succeed, and I understand that Mr Walker will again be away when Sir Murray will be in London during the week of 11 September.
