Mass Transit Consortium
widened
Jiongkong Metro Constructors, the European Consortium represented in Hongkong by Zung Fu bidding for the Mass Transit Railway, yesterday announced the widening of the Consortium which has now become an Anglo-French-German Group.
The British GKN Group represented by their subsidiary GKN Contracters Ltd have joined the Consortium and the HK Metro Constructors will now be able to draw on the industrial capacity and expertise of three major members of the EEC.

The statement said a series of meetings have been held with Hongkong Government representatives attended major members of the Consortium including representatives of Hochtief, Dragages, CGEE, Alsthom, • GKN, the Deutsche Bank, the Banque de L'Indochine, the Chartered Bank and Zung Fu.
These meetings resulted in a further appointment for representatives of the Consortium to meet with the HK Government Steering Committee for the HK Mass Transit Railway in early May.
